An Evening with Paul Wedgwood - Saturday 16th January

Paul Wedgwood

To celebrate the start of the Salmon Fishing Season, we are delighted that Paul Wedgwood will be hosting "An Evening with Paul Wedgwood" at Ardeonaig.

As the name suggests Paul will take centre stage through the night, entertaining guests with a feast of seasonal ingredients from Wedgwood the Restaurant on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile menu.

Paul started his career in the Lake District working in a variety of establishments from pubs to Michelin starred restaurants. Paul was particularly inspired by working under celebrity chef John Tovey at Miller Howe in Windermere. A passionate and ambitious chef, Paul’s long term goal was always open a fine dining restaurant in which he would combine his experiences to be able to offer fine dining in informal surroundings with excellent service. Wedgwood the Restaurant opened on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile in 2007 and quickly become a key player the City’s restaurant scene. Paul with his vivacious and enthusiastic character is often called upon to perform cooking demonstrations throughout the UK and he is a regular favourite at the Taste of Edinburgh Festival.

In May 2009 Paul was awarded a Silver medal at the Scottish Chef Awards in the City Chef of the Year category. In the Harden’s UK Restaurant Guide 2010 Wedgwood the Restaurant is being named Winner of the Remy Martin VSOP Award 2010 for Best UK Newcomer.
