If you are into off road mountain trails, then the area will not disappoint and it’s all on the doorstep of the hotel. There is plenty to explore and great opportunities to try out the trails, all with varying degrees of difficulty. Whether it’s moorland or forestry, there is so much to explore, all with the stunning backdrop of the loch and mountains.
On the opposite side of the loch are Drummond Hill and Glen Lyon. These are a couple of the favourites with great views down to Kenmore. After a long day in the saddle, why not come back and relax in our bar area and enjoy our bar menu. We are happy to securely store all equipment for you until your next day of riding.
Cycle the Roads to ArdeonaigWhether you are a casual cyclist or someone who likes a challenge, then we are ideally situated for you. Whether it’s a cycle to either Kenmore or Killin, or the more challenging Loch Tay Loop, then we are the hotel for you. No matter what you decide, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Loch Tay. You can start and end the Loch Tay Loop from the hotel heading up the South Shore Road to Kenmore and returning down the North Shore Road to Killin, then returning back up the South Shore Road to the hotel for a well-earned rest in one of our king size beds and a freshly prepared locally produced meal. We are always happy to store any equipment during your stay for your convenience.
If, however, you are just out for a cycle on the south shore road, then why not have a pit stop at the hotel. We are almost halfway between Killin and Kenmore, and provide a bike rack and indoor/ outdoor dining.

Loch Tay is at your DoorstepWith an abundance of water around us, it would be foolish not to take advantage of it. The hotel sits right on the Loch and with our own harbour, so if you are sailing on the Loch and wish to pop in for a spot of lunch, then you can moor your boat in the harbour as long as we have prior notice.
We are also lucky that legendsailing.co.uk is also situated at the harbour and offers a range of activities, so whether it’s kayak or canoe hire or power boating, then check out the website. Alternatively, if you wish to bring your own SUP, kayak etc, then you are more than welcome to directly enter the loch.
Wild Swimming has also become a great activity, so if that’s something you enjoy, then feel free to bring your wetsuit and take a dip in the loch. There’s no better way to start the day.
